A Brief Update on the Swamp Tour and Historic Acadian Tour :
The Swamp Tour will be either mid-morning (ca. 10 am) or early afternoon (ca. 1:30 pm) - we'll announce time soon. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours.
For those staying in New Orleans - it is about 75 miles from downtown New Orleans to the boat dock (about 90 minutes); therefore, it is an easy daytrip to stay in New Orleans and come on the Swamp Tour.
The lunch for the Historic Acadian Tour will be at Crawfish Town USA (Take Exit 115 north off I-10 and go 1/2 mile. This is about 12 miles east of Lafayette, LA). We also will leave on the bus at 7 am from their parking lot and return there about 5 pm. I have arranged for us to park our cars in their parking lot while we are on the tour.
Crawfish Town has superb seafood as well as meat dishes. On Friday, October 14th they will have a special meal of crawfish etouffee, fried catfish, potato salad and roll for $9.95. You can also order off the menu (see attached) with many options below $12.
