Attached is the Summer 2016 edition of "Generations" - our newsletter for our family association Les Guédry et Petitpas d'Asteur.

In it you'll articles on the Acadian Deportations, an interesting DNA study done on the Guédry and Melanson families as well as information on why our ancestors in the Guédry and Petitpas families chose to settle at Merliguèche, Acadie. Of course, the always interesting Book Nook, Bon Apetit and Historical Tidbits are sure to catch your attention.

Thanks to Allie Guidry for editing another outstanding edition of "Generations". She does a superb job in taking a drab article and turning it into an eye-appealing, interesting source of information with photos, original documents, interesting layouts and wonderful use of colors. These are not easy tasks and she spends over a month preparing each issue of "Generations".
