March 29, 2003 Meeting
Bonjour Cousins -
On Saturday, March 29, 2003 we will have another meeting of Les Guidry d'Asteurs at the CODOFIL office in Lafayette, LA from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. The directions to the CODOFIL office in Lafayette are below.
After the meeting we'll journey to a local Lafayette eating establishment for some Cajun food and fellowship. You can bet that this is where the real fun and the best thoughts are exchanged - with a bunch of Cajuns gathered around food, that is a given.
Reminder - Don't forget to send your quilt square to Cindy by March 30th and your family recipes to Jack. Information on both of these projects can be found on our website. You can click on the website address below for the information.
I'm hoping that folks that live around the Lafayette area can attend the meeting and contribute to Les Guidry d'Asteur and planning our 2004 Reunion. For those that cannot attend please send me your ideas on Les Guidry d'Asteur and our Reunion. What would you like to have/do at the Reunion, what would you like to do to help with the Reunion, is there anything that you would like Les Guidry d'Asteur to do that we aren't doing, etc.?

DIRECTIONS TO MARCH 29TH MEETING:
From I-10 take the I-49/Hiway 90 exit and go south (toward Lafayette). You'll now be on the Evangeline Thruway. Continue on the Thruway until you reach Jefferson Street (about 5 or 6 red lights; there's a Burger King on the right corner). Turn right on Jefferson Street and continue through the underpass and three red lights. The first street after the 3rd red light is
W. Main Street. Turn right on W. Main Street and go one block to the stop sign. The courthouse will be immediately ahead of you. Turn left onto Buchanan Street and then make a quick right back onto W. Main Street on the left side of the courthouse. The CODOFIL office is on your left at 217 W. Main Street. It's a two-story, red brick, Victorian-style, narrow building with a green balcony on the second floor. Park anywhere in the area as parking meters are not patrolled on Saturday and Sunday. We'll meet in the reception area on the first floor.
