Timothy Pettipas

Timothy Pettipas received his B.A. from Carleton University in Economics and Political Science with graduate degrees from the University of Ottawa in 2008 and Harvard University in 2019. He has spent his career working in the Canadian government. From 1994-1998 Mr. Pettipas was the Policy Advisor to the Minister in the Office of the Honorable Ralph Goodale. He then became Director, Multilateral Trade Negotiations Division of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada from 1999-2002. In 2002 he was appointed the Executive Director, Trade Negotiations Directorate of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Other positions he has held include Executive Director of the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency, Director General of Innovation Programs and of Human Resources in Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Director General of Business Development and Systems and Vice-President, Strategic Directions and Renewal of the Public Service Commission of Canada and Assistant Secretary to the Cabinet, Public Service Renewal of the Privy Council Office. In these increasingly responsible positions, Mr. Pettipas' skills advanced leadership, management and workplace culture across the federal public service. In 2024 Timothy Pettipas joined the prestigious Canada School of Public Service in Ottawa, Canada as an Executive Faculty Member. In this position Mr. Pettipas facilitates learning and professional development for leaders across the public service of Canada. Timothy Pettipas brings great distinction to the Petitpas family though his lifetime of government service.
