As many of us begin getting out and traveling again, why not add a little Acadian heritage into those travels. Be it in your hometown or a distant destination, there is often a museum or heritage site that has an Acadian exhibit or theme. Below are a sampling of museums and villages that have from a single Acadian exhibit to being totally Acadian-based. This list covers Canada, France, St. Pierre et Miquelon and the United States. So as you make your plans, think about including an Acadian stop or two during your travels. If staying near your home, you may consider venturing out to spend an hour at that Acadian site nearby that you "never had the time" to enjoy. If you know of other museums or villages with an Acadian exhibit, please send an email to guidryrmartin@gmail.com so we can expand the list.
