2004 Reunion Logo Contest

Dear Members and Friends of the Les Guidry d'Asteur:

Share your artistic abilities for our 2004 Nova Scotia Family Reunion! The Sales Committee is choosing quality souvenir items for members and others who attend the reunion . . . but we need a creative new logo that will truly memorialize both the reunion and our connections to each other. The logo will appear on the souvenir items we select for the reunion, and will serve as lasting memories of the reunion. The winning design will be selected by the sales committee members based on appropriate Guedry-Labine family representation and its links across North America, historical Acadian connection and ease of use for reproduction. Submit your reunion logo design (or ideas for a design) to Reunion Logo Contest, c/o Cindy Guidry Herdt, PO Box 6, Entiat, WA 98822 by August 1, 2003.
 
All submissions must include:
The name of the event: Les Guidry d'Asteur Family Reunion
The location of the event: Lunenburg and Clare, Nova Scotia, Canada
The date: August 5-7, 2004
An image of the Acadian flag
The overall image cannot exceed 6" x 8". A reduced or simplified version would be used on small items like pens, etc.
Sign and date your artwork submission.
 
Designs can be submitted in black and white, color or a version of each. Other images appropriate to the reunion, our family, our history or the location may be incorporated into your design.
 
Please keep a copy of your submission for your own records. Reunion organizers will not be able to return your artwork to you, and all submissions will become the property of Les Guidry d'Asteur, Inc. All contestants will be acknowledged for participating in the contest. The artist whose submission is selected as the official logo of the reunion will be asked to sign a release form indicating that the logo will become the property of Les Guidry d'Asteur, Inc., to be used for the 2004 Nova Scotia family reunion promotion program.
