2009 Reunion Bus Trip From Louisiana to New Brunswick
UPDATE ON BUS TRIP - 10 JUNE 2009
For Louisianians interested in a Bus Excursion to New Brunswick -
The Acadian Memorial and CAFA (Confederation of Acadian Families Association) are teaming together to sponsor a bus trip to the 2009 Congrès Mondial Acadian to be held on August 7 thru August 23rd in the Acadian Peninsula of New Brunswick. Several folks have asked if there are any bus tours going from Louisiana to New Brunswick for the Congrès Mondial.
There is at least one such trip being organized at this time.
Cord Stuart (History Break Tours, Carencro, LA) under the sponsorship of the Acadian Memorial Foundation and the Confederation of Associations of Families Acadian (CAFA) will offer a complete package trip from Louisiana to New Brunswick and return during the Congrès Mondial.
The organizers are considering three options for the trip:
* Leave August 3, 2009 and return August 16, 2009
* Leave August 7, 2009 and return August 24, 2009
* Leave August 7, 2009 and return August 20, 2009
It also may be possible to fly to and from Maine on your own and join the tour there.
The Congrès Mondial opens on August 7, 2009 and closes on August 23, 2009. The Guedry-Labine and Petitpas Reunion will be on August 16, 2009 in Bathurst, New Brunswick.
