Brigadier General Albert Louis Geddry

General Albert Louis Geddry for his 29 years of distinguished service in the Canadian Army from 1962 through 1990. General Geddry held many posts during his military career within Canada, the United States and Cyprus. In 1968 he was a founding pioneer of the 12th blindé du Canada (the Acadians' Regiment) and in 1975 was selected to command the Régiment. In 2010 the Minister of National Defence appointed General Geddry as the Honorary Colonel of the 12th Régiment blindé du Canada. This three-year appointment is reserved only for those former senior officers held in the highest esteem by the Army.
