Vernon A. Guidry, Rodeo Stockman

Vernon Guidry, owner of Guidry Rodeo Company, Inc., is a rodeo stock contractor with pens in Houma, LA and Madisonville, TX. Vernon owns approximately 3,000 acres where he raises his formidable bucking bulls.
Stock, as well as cowboys, compete throughout the year for a place in the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) held annually in Las Vegas, NV. In 1996 Guidry Rodeo Company had four of their top bulls compete in the National Finals Rodeo. They were: Tonka, Western Hauler, Copenhagen's Stingray and Copenhagen's Werewolf. Each of these bulls typically bucks off more than 90% of the cowboys that pit their brawn and brains against that of the bull.
In 1992 Vernon Guidry purchased the Dorenkamp Rodeo Company and now produces rodeos in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and surrounding states.
