Hermidas LaBine and the Cat
Story has that Hermidas LaBine was having a problem with his cat. He was so mad at it that he tried to kick it but had an unfortunate accident. He fell down the stairs, broke his leg and because of the break, he got gangrene. It was from this gangrene that he died. This was noted in the church records and known to this family branch.
Motto of the story: I guess it is true that a cat has nine lives but Hermidas had only one!

Hermidas LaBine et la Chat
L'histoire raconte qu'Hermidas LaBine avait un problème avec son chat. Il était tellement en colère contre lui, qu'il essaya de lui donner un coup de pied qui lui occasionna un fâcheux accident. Il tomba dans l'escalier, se cassa la jambe et attrapa la gangrène suite à cette blessure. Il mourut de cette gangrène. Cela fut noté dans les registres de l'église et connu des membres de cette branche de la famille.
Morale de l'histoire : Je suppose que c'est vrai qu'un chat a neuf vies, mais Hermidas n'en avait qu'une!
