Guidry Veterans Honored at Valley Forge in March 2026

Christine Guidry Law, originally from Church Point, LA and now temporarily residing in Pennsylvania, has been invited to the 17th Airborne Scions Reunion on 20-23 March 2026 in Valley Forge, PA. At the Reunion she will honor Donald Felix Guidry and Lawrence Guidry by placing a candle in the Memorial Service Candelabra and placing a wreath at the Gold Star Family Monument in the Medal of Honor Grove at Valley Forge.

Tec 4 Donald Felix Guidry, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Asay D. Guidry, was in Company G of the 3rd Battalion Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 17th Airborne Division during WWII. He was born in Houma, Louisiana on 12 October 1918 and was killed in action in Germany on 24 March 1945. He is buried at Magnolia Cemetery in Houma, Terrebonne Parish, LA. Among his military awards was the Purple Heart.

PFC Lawrence Guidry, son of Marcel Guidry and Marie Anatile Trahan, served in the 513th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 17th Airborne Division during WWII. He was born 14 December 1921 and died 2 April 1945. He is buried at Saint John Catholic Cemetery in Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, LA. Lawrence Guidry died of wounds received in combat during the war.

Christine Guidry Law has been actively involved working with veteran organizations throughout the United States. Often she makes presentations at their meetings and also moderates panels.
